[00:00.00]I’m Not That Girl (Commentary|Reprise) - Ariana Grande/Stephen Schwartz
[00:00.26]Lyrics by：Ariana Grande/Stephen Schwartz

[00:00.53]Getting to sing the"I'm Not That Girl"
[00:02.95]Reprise is such a devastating moment for her
[00:06.96]You know she's putting together all those pieces now
[00:09.78]And kind of connecting the dots
[00:10.81]And can't believe any of it to be true
[00:13.93]Definitely not an easy moment haha
[00:17.35]One of the things I like about musical theater
[00:19.86]Is how one can use reprises to take something
[00:24.18]And illuminate a new experience
[00:26.76]In the first moviе of Wicked
[00:29.34]Elphaba sings"I'm Not That Girl"
[00:32.11]Where she's looking at Glinda and thinking
[00:34.98]"Well this is a girl who has everything that I will never have
[00:39.81]Including this man that I'm pretending to myself I'm not in love with"
[00:44.42]In the second movie
[00:46.16]Glinda finds herself in a place where she is feeling
[00:53.09]She wishes she were Elphaba
[00:55.16]And so to be able to use that same song
[01:00.41]But for the different character is just one of the fun things
[01:04.38]That you get to do in musical theater
