Old friends smiling solemnly, moving through rooms of the abandoned past – the only words I hear are what they say to me in the underwater world of sleep. I remember hearing once, that if we only dream of joy then that’s when we are truly doomed. When my eyes peel open, harsh whips of sand obscure my vision, and in that vacuum of dirt those dreams become more real than the day.
